Frances K. McKnight

Frances K. McKnight "Fran" passed away on April 4, 2022 at the age of 71. She is the beloved daughter of the late John McKnight Sr. "Moon". Dear sister of Deborah McKnight, Jacqueline McKnight , and John McKnight Jr. "Half Moon"(Donna). Loving Aunt of Jacqueline Dmytryk (Steve), Michele Carter (Bobby), Kimberly McKnight, John McKnight III (Stephanie), and great aunt of Hanna, Olivia, Aiden, Mollyanne, Robby, Danny, Julianna, Jimmy, Harley, Everlyn, and StevieLynn. Sadly missed by her best friend and special cousin Betty Jane Leyden, her dear life-long friend Kate Gabor and many cousins. 

Fran was born and raised in Fishtown and remained there throughout her life. She attended St. Boniface School and Kensington High School. After, she worked for close to 40 years as a graphic designer for Bell Telephone. Fran was an avid sports fan and followed all of her Philadelphia sports teams. You could find her watching one game on the television while listening to another on the radio so she didn't miss either.  She also enjoyed watching General Hospital and NCIS and was a fan of John Wayne and Elvis. One of Fran's favorite things to do was to take trips to the casino with her favorite gambling partner Betty Jane. Fran will be remembered most for her huge heart, generous nature, and her love for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In Fran's words.....Bah Humbug!

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Tuesday April 12, 2022 beginning at 9:45 am in Holy Name of Jesus Church 701 Gaul Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 (at Berks) (Fishtown) Funeral Mass 11am. Interment in Palmer Cemetery.  In lieu flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Church or to the American Lung Association.
