Frank Aikens passed away on May 4, 2023 after courageously battling his health for numerous years. He was 61 years old.
Frank was born to the late James and Jean Aikens. He was raised in the Kensington and Fishtown neighborhoods of Philadelphia and remained there throughout his life. Frank was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who prided himself in being able to see each of his hometown teams win a championship.
Frank worked as an addiction counselor and helped many, many people in their recovery during his 35 years sober. This was his life’s passion and he met many lifelong friends along the way. He will be missed tremendously by all those who knew and loved him.
Frank is survived by his wife Alice, his brother and sister, and a legacy of children, grandchildren, and a great grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Wednesday, May 10, 2023 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. His funeral service will begin at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any contributions towards his final expenses.
