Frederick W. Adams Jr.

Frederick W. Adams Jr. “Fred” sadly passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 68. He was born in Philadelphia on January 3, 1956 to the late Frederick W. Sr. and Esther Beiland Snyder (Hugh).

Fred was a lifelong Fishtown resident and was proud of his roots. He played soccer for years at Newts and then when he attended North Catholic High School for Boys. After high school, Fred started a family with his wife Betty. While raising his family, Fred worked as an electrician and became a "Mr. Fix It" to anyone in the family who needed anything done. 

Fred was an all- around good guy who was never one to complain. He loved the simple things in life, such as time spent with his family and playing pool. He will be greatly missed but his family takes comfort that he is being reunited with his loved ones in heaven, especially his son Freddy, who was surely waiting with open arms to greet his dad. 

Fred is the beloved husband of 50 years to Elizabeth "'Betty" (nee Rosney).  Devoted father of Jennifer, Sara, and the late Freddy. Loving Pop-Pop of Jared, Jade, Freddy Malkowski, Elizabeth Ocasio, Ryan Chalmers Jr., and William Livingston IV. Dear brother of Robert "Hugh" Snyder and Robert Snyder (Sandi). Sadly missed by his extended family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Friday May 17, 2024 beginning at 9am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by his funeral service at 11am. Interment private.
