George W. Knauss Jr. passed away unexpectedly at home on April 25, 2023. He was 32 years old.
George is the beloved son of George W. Knauss Sr. and Denise Taylor (Brian). Dear brother of Christine Schwartz, James Fortney, Amanda Knauss, Alicia Weller, Tara Rhett (De'Andre), and Brittany Jones. Loving grandson of William Fortney. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
George was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and remained there throughout his life. After high school, George entered the workforce. He was a dedicated and reliable employee who worked well with his coworkers. His last job was with Family Dollar, where he was recently promoted to manager.
George will be remembered for his outgoing, funny personality. He loved music, bowling, and especially the Dallas Cowboys. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Saturday May 6, 2023 beginning at 12pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 1:45pm.
