George A. Williams Jr. "Georgie" passed away at home on April 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was 58 years old. He is the beloved son of George A. Sr. and the late Frances (nee Vandergrift) Devoted father of Corine M. Williams and stepfather of Andrew and John Hughes. Loving grandfather of Drew and Justin Hughes. Dear brother of John Vandergrift (Julie), Frances "Franny" Opazo (Joseph Cottone), and Margaret "Margie" Williams (Jim). Uncle of John (Shannon), Jennifer (Kyle) and great uncle of Natalie, Jacob, and Kayla. 

George served his country in the military after high school and then worked as a Painter. When not working he loved to have a good time and have some beers. He would joke with his family that "Budweiser was his first wife". He loved motorcycles and all of his Philadelphia sports teams. He was proud of his American Cherokee Indian Heritage and referred to himself as one of the "Last of the Mohicans" and also proud to be from Fishtown. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, especially his daughter Corine.  In honoring George's wishes, there are no services planned.
