Jerry was born in Jersey City NJ, son of the late Richard and Mary Macatee Nolan. He passed away suddenly at his home. He was raised at 2511 Cedar Street in Philadelphia. He attended St. Anne School, Class of '73 and graduated from North Catholic, Class of '77.
He was retired from the City of Philadelphia where he worked for 25 years as a Corrections Officer, then as a Deputy Sheriff. Jerry was well -liked and known for his sense of humor. He loved music and movies. He had an encyclopedic knowledge about rock music and enjoyed concerts and playing the guitar. He could tell a funny story like none other, and his nieces and nephews will always think of him as their funny Uncle Jerry.
He was the beloved husband of the late Christine Sobiech Nolan, loving father of Lauren Nolan, beloved brother of Daniel Nolan ( Theresa ), Claire Pellak ( George ), Thomas Nolan ( Kathleen ) and Mary Schappell ( Tate ). He will be sadly missed by 2 generations of nieces and nephews.
