Greg was born in Philadelphia to the late Trina Annette Ford and the late James Fitzgerald. He passed away unexpectedly at his home after a valiant fight against a blood disorder and COPD.
As his sister Jess would say, Greg was one of a kind. Quick to anger but even quicker to forgive and forget. He is a was good soul and spoke his mind quite frequently. He was the type of guy who came to grips with his short comings and always tried to make things right. His friends have many stories to tell about Greg. He was an avid music lover, Pearl Jam and Beastie Boys among his favorites. He was always writing letters and making phone calls. Greg was a man of faith, very religious to a point where he gave rosaries to his nieces and nephews.
Dear and beloved brother of Jamie Fitzgerald and Jessica Eisenhower, beloved uncle of Liam, Aianna, Brielle and Cameron. Nephew of Karen Ford (Chris), Edna Ford, Melvin Ford, Terry Ford (Janet), Jimmy Ford (Patti) and Christopher Ford. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday June 24, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM, in the HUBERT M. McBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 2357 East Cumberland St. His Funeral Service will begin at 7:30 PM.
