H.R. Draper III was born in Philadelphia to the late Dr. Harry Richard Draper, II and Dr. Nelle E. Malcomb Draper. He passed away at home on September 6, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
H.R. attended the College of Wooster for 2 years, and then went on to complete the horticultural program at the Barnes Foundation with Dr. John M. Fogg.
He worked as a County Extension Agent for Penn State, in the Urban Gardening Program in Philadelphia.
Beloved partner of Philip J. O'Connor. He is survived by his sisters, Jeanne Jenkins, M. Elizabeth Draper, Bonnie P. Bienert and Cynthia Draper.
