Obituary
Harriett I. Slimmer (nee Phillips) passed away on November 12, 2022 at the age of 67. She is the beloved wife of the late Daniel R. Slimmer. Devoted mother to the late Shawn Slimmer. Loving daughter of the late Frederick and Lillian Phillips. Dear sister of Lillian Phillips, Richard Phillips, Catherine Staszko, Virginia Price, Kelly Phillips, Cheryl Phillips, and the late Rosetta Phillips and Buddy Phillips. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and her extended family.
Harriett will be remembered for being a natural caretaker. She was devoted to taking care of her son, husband, and brother. Her caring nature was also reflected in her relationships with her family, as she was always kind-hearted and strong and would do anything for anyone. When Harriett had time for herself, she enjoyed watching cartoons with a bowl of cereal, a pastime she enjoyed with her husband Daniel.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life Saturday November 19, 2022 beginning at 11am in Grace Baptist Church 4544 Almond Street Philadelphia, PA 19137 (Bridesburg). A funeral service will be held at 12pm followed by refreshments in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at the address below.
