Heidemarie E. (Ortolf) Kowollik

Our beloved mother, Heidemarie E. Kowollik (nee Ortolf), passed away on May 16, 2022 at the age of 77. Heidi was born in Germany and arrived in the United States in her teenage years. She is the daughter of the late Emma Ferij(nee Mueller) and the late Thomas Ortolf. Loving mother of Peter (late Ogretta), Thomas (Dawn), Nancy, and the late  Joseph. She was the proud grandmother of Peter II (Kate), Courtney, Kaela (Mike), Tommy, Michael (Sara), Joshua (Dominique), and Sage. 

Heidi volunteered at her children’s school and later worked at Lawrence Bakery up until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and always made sure everyone ate what they liked, even if it meant that she cooked several different things. She loved going to Cannstatter’s every Labor Day to celebrate her German heritage. Heidi loved her dog companion, Rocky. He was another child to her. Heidi was very outspoken and if you asked for her opinion, you better be prepared for a very honest answer. Heidi will always be remembered for her unconditional love and kind, giving heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Friday May 20, 2022 beginning at 10am in St. Peter the Apostle Church 1019 N. 5th Street Philadelphia PA 19123. Funeral Mass 11am. Interment Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. Peter the Apostle Church.
