September 24, 1978 ~ January 22, 2020 (age 41)

Obituary

James Kanagie "Jim" passed away suddenly on January 22, 2020, at the age of 41. He is the beloved husband of Tiffany (nee Schneider). Devoted father of James Temme and Caitlin, Keegan, Brendt, and Adrianna Kanagie. Loving son of John and Lynn Kanagie. Dear brother of Jack Kanagie (Denise), Jamie Kanagie (Jose), Jennifer Kanagie, and Jeffrey Kanagie (Jadelynn). Son in law of Geri and the late Bill-Bill Schneider. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Jim was born and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia and stayed there to raise his own family. He enjoyed history and politics and collecting coins. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Phillies and all of his childrens' sports. His greatest joy in life, though, was his family. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Thursday January 30, 2020 beginning at 9am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 E. Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (Fishtown). Prayers and words of remembrance will begin at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any memorial contributions to a fund set up for the benefit of the Kanagie Children. https://www.gofundme.com/f/7ardv5-support-the-kanagie-kids
