James "Froggy" P. Dougherty Sr.

James P. Dougherty Sr. "Froggy" passed away on June 23, 2020 at the age of 66. He was born in Philadelphia to Gilbert and Margaret (nee Gallagher). He is the beloved husband of the late Amy (nee Banford). Devoted father of Amy, James P. Jr., and the late Lindsay. Loving grandfather of Andrew, Anthony, Chase, and Amy. Dear brother of Gilbert (Elaine), Patrick "Packie" (Sandy), Francis, And Jeanmarie Kendorski (Joseph). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. 

James attended St. Anne grade school and Mastbaum High School. After graduation he began working as a trackman for Amtrak and worked there for thirty years while raising his family. He will be remembered for always living his life, come what may. And as he would always say, "How bout it!"

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at his graveside service Thursday promptly at 11am in North Cedar Hill Cemetery (Frankford Ave. and Cheltenham Ave.) Please arrive a few minutes before and meet at the cemetery gate. In keeping with CDC regulations, please wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
