James "Jim" Riley Obituary
James J. Riley "Jim" passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 72. He is the beloved husband of over 40 years to Charlotte V. (nee Kaminski). Devoted father of Brian Kaminski (Sheila), Thomas Kaminski, Crystal Riley (Chris Canzano), Nicole Riley (Frank Stanchek), and Charlotte Riley. Loving Pop-Pop to Angel Canzano, Autumn Canzano, Frank Stanchek, Anastasia Riley, Stephen Kaminski, Kaylee Stanchek, Ziggy Canzano, Serenity Kaminski, Aubrey Kaminski, Emma Kaminski, and one on the way. Dear brother of Theresa, Marie, Diane, Kathleen, Joseph, and the late Thomas (Rose). Sadly missed by his sisters in law Annamay, Maryann, Flossie, Terry, and his many nieces and nephews.
Jim was born to the late James and Catherine (nee Gilday) Riley. He was raised in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, near K&A and remained in the area throughout his life. Jim was a proud graduate of North Catholic high School and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Jim was a devoted family man who would do anything for his family, especially his kids and grandkids. They were his pride and joy. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and for always playing jokes and pranks on the family. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Tuesday October 25, 2022 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 7:30pm. Interment private.
