James "Jimmy-John" R. Wallace

James R. Wallace "Jimmy-John", age 60, passed away at home on March 26, 2022. He is the beloved son of the late Cynthia (nee Smith) and John Martino. Dear brother of Joseph Wallace (Kathy), Tina Osinski (Len Allen), and the late Michael Wallace and Timothy Wallace. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and his great nieces and nephews. 

Jimmy-John was born in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. He was very proud of his hometown and his Irish heritage. He loved riding his motorcycle and following sports, especially the Eagles and Notre Dame.

Jimmy-John was a very good-hearted person and would share anything he had with anyone. At Christmas time he would buy teddy bears to be distributed to the children in local hospitals and he was always helping the homeless and those in need.  More than anything, he loved his family and would do anything for them. Even during his illness, he kept it to himself so that he could spare his family from worrying about him. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Sunday April 3, 2022 beginning at 11am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia,PA 19125. Funeral service 12:30pm.
