Jane Davis Obituary

Jane E. Davis “Janie” passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 37. She is the beloved daughter of Jane Chybinski (John) and the late Francis “Frank” Davis (Karen). Devoted mother to Arianna Furphy. Dear sister of Frank Davis, Rachel Duffy (Jason), Theresa Chybinski, and the late Jackie Hagan. Loving aunt to Baby Frankie and her niece who is on the way. Sadly missed by her extended family and many friends.

Jane will be remembered for being a fighter through and through and living life the way she chose to. She could be described as being sarcastic, protective, strong-willed, and overall supportive of those she loved, also while being carefree and funny. Her family would tell you she was the funniest of them all.

Janie loved horror movies, hauntings, all things mythology and supernatural, cherubs, fairies, and mermaids. She had an vast knowledge and love of music and some of her favorite artists included Kevin Gates, J Cole, Nas, Tory Lanes, Dermont Kennedy, Keyshia Cole, Meatloaf, Eminem, Phil Collins, and Bones ,Thugs, and Harmony. She also loved animals, especially her cat Boots.

Janie’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her daughter. Her humor showed through in her parenting and she would often be quoted saying “God give me patience, because if you give me strength I will beat her”, all in good fun. She loved her parents and spending time with them. She loved to watch boxing with her dad and liked to bet him on the outcome. She was also more of a best friend than a sister to her siblings. They shared many things like their love of Superman over Batman. Janie recently had the honor of being the maid of honor in her sister’s wedding and was chosen to be the godmother of her niece who is on the way. Janie will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved her but they take comfort that she is reunited with her loved ones in heaven.

Her brother Frank wrote this about his sister:

Janie was always the most outgoing, funny light of the night. She always made you laugh at the right moment. She treated everyone as a friend and was always ready to help out if she could. She loved to make people laugh and bust balls above all. She was always in a joking mood no matter if her mood was good or bad and was always kind, smart, and outgoing. She always had a story and was one of the toughest, mentally and physically. She loved Freestyle music and rap, Trey songs and Kevin Gates being her top favorites. She always placed family above all and was a Kenzo princess. She insisted you call her “Babie Girl” and not with a “Y” lol. She was my best friend, my idol, and the one I looked up to and asked for approval from on everything”

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Thursday January 20, 2022 beginning at 9am in St. Anne Church (upper) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral mass 10:30am. Interment Greenmount Cemetery. We respectfully ask that all those attending services wear a mask.
