Jeremy Lausten Obituary

Jeremy M. Lausten passed away suddenly on January 3, 2019. He was 47 years old. He is the beloved husband of 19 years to Tammy (nee Goodwin). Devoted father of Michael Memoli, Tyler, Dominic, and Nicholas. Dear brother of Ken Kissenberger (Lisa) and Tiffany Patti (Matt), Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and his loving in-laws, the Goodwin family.

Jeremy worked for PECO for the last 18 years and his most recent position was Environmental Coordinator. He loved his job and would do anything for his PECO family. He was very passionate about his lengthly career and prided himself in his impeccable work ethic. Even when his health started to deteriorate, his strength and will to work made him miss very little time.

When he was not working, Jeremy enjoyed time on his motorcycle, collecting all sorts of memorabilia especially baseball cards and also tools, but only from "Snap On".  He was a car guru who loved collecting, fixing and driving all types of cars, old and new. He loved history and having a conversation with him was always fascinating because of his endless knowledge of all things and his quick wit and humor. He was a jack of all trades and was the first to help anyone, with anything. He enjoyed his time at his "home away from home"  Seashore Campsites in Cape May, where he camped for 30 years.  He loved sharing this tradition with his boys, since it was a part of his childhood.

Jeremy was a dare devil, a comedian, and a risk taker but his greatest accomplishment and joy was his family. He loved his wife and boys deeply. His boys were his world and brought out his softer side, along with his dogs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives, friends, and his "family" from PECO and Seashore Campsites are invited to his viewing and funeral Saturday January 12, 2019 from 8:30am-10am in St. Anne Church (lower church) 2328 E. Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am in the upper church. Interment private.  The family invites you to join them following mass, to celebrate Jeremy's life, at Galdo's Catering 1933 W. Moyamensing Ave. Philadelphia PA 19145.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Cancer Center 3500 Civic Center Blvd. Philadelphia PA 19104 or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) 26 Broadway, 14th floor New York, NY 10004
