Jessica A. "Jess" Anasti ( Gallagher )

It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Jessica Anasti, age 39. She passed away on July 25, 2025 with her family by her side. Jessica was born in Baltimore and lived her childhood in Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Her childhood was filled with the love and laughter from her aunts, uncles and dozens of cousins during countless holidays and beach trips in Delaware.

She met the love of her life, Vinny, while at Villanova. They dove headfirst into adventure any chance they got. From NYC, to Kuwait, to opening a bed and breakfast in Uruguay, to baking thousands of sourdough loaves in San Francisco.  They finally settled three blocks from her brother, James in Philadelphia, where they started their biggest and best adventure with the loves of their lives Paxton and Poppy.

Jess was a force of nature - a larger-than-life spirit whose presence lit up every room and whose passion for living knew no bounds. She easily turned strangers into friends and friends into family.

Some people tiptoe through life; Jess danced, sang, and shouted. And never had a normal picture taken of her in life.

Jess is survived by her beloved husband, Vince, and two beautiful children Paxton, Poppy and crazy dog Edie. Her parents Jim and Joan, her siblings James and Joey and her in-laws Sami, Dan and Kate, Beth and Justin, Vincent and Christine. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Gather, Remember and Celebrate Jess on Wednesday July 30 2025 beginning at 11 AM followed by Prayers and Words of Remembrance in the  McElvarr Funeral Home. 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave, Fishtown.
