Joan Ann (Beck) Flaherty

 Joan Ann (nee)Beck Flaherty passed away peacefully on Dec. 28th at the age of 60. Joan was born on July 7th, 1964, to the late Joseph and Dolores (nee Watts) Beck and grew up in Fishtown. Joan loved to cook made ceramics and was good at all things arts and crafts. Joan loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Joan is the beloved partner of Chris Locke and the late Michael Flaherty. Loving mother of Robert Trefz (Irene) Andrew Trefz, Dana Lynne Pennock (Richard), Michael Flaherty, Kyle Flaherty (Rebecca) and Jason Flaherty. Dearest sister of Kathy McNamara (Dan), Joe Beck (Jane), John Beck (Lois) and the late Lori Turner (Jim).  Adorning Nan to Giselle, Kylie, Richard, Arya and Kaitlin.  Also loved and missed by Tiffany Locke, Danny Locke and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral on Saturday, January 18, 2025 beginning at 9 AM in the McELVARR FUNERAL HOME, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Avenue, Fishtown.  Funeral service will be at 11 AM.  Interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
