Johanna M. Kelso

Johanna M. Kelso passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2024 at the age of 42. She was born on January 15, 1982 in Philadelphia.

Johanna was a lifelong resident of the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Although her life was not an easy one, she always remained kind. She had a deep love for her family, especially her children and grandchildren, always making sure that they had a better life. When her grandchildren came along, Johanna embraced the chance to do the things for them that she couldn't do for her own kids and they brought her so much joy. 

Johanna is the beloved mother of Ivan Oberholtzer, Aylissa Kelso, Nathan Stahl, Samuel Stahl, and the late Justina Vargas. Loving Grandmom to Malaysia, Isabella, Sophia, Josiah, Emresyn, and and her grandson on the way. Dear daughter of George and the late Theresa (nee Mulholland). Cherished sister of George (Donna), Jennifer Bennett (Luis), David (Cathy), Jennifer, Violet Bennett, Barbara Leary (Rashaw), Holly (Edward), Timothy (Melissa), Jeremy (Patricia), Benjamin "Cooper" (Kali), and Sharon (Pedro). Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life on Monday December 30, 2024 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by her funeral service at 7:30pm.
