John M. Daniels Sr.

John M. Daniels Sr. passed away at home on March 23, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on April 15, 1956 to Ruth (nee Ottinger) and the late John Daniels. John is a lifelong resident of the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, even raising his own family on the same street as his childhood home. John was a fixture in the neighborhood, whether he was seen walking his dog or feeding the birds and cats on his street. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. 

Along with his father, John is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 40 years Donna (nee Austin) and his brother Frank. He is survived by his son John (Rachel); his daughters Casey O'Brien (Kyle), and Dominique Peetros (Nicholas); his grandchildren Riley, Aidan, Lucy, Logan, Kyle, Hazel, Autumn, and August; his mother Ruth; his siblings Michelle Kurz (late John), Sandra Vidra (Robert), Mark, Kelly, and Kim (Jake Galazka) and his many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Tuesday April 1, 2025 beginning at 9:30am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service will begin at 11am.
