John R. Topping passed away peacefully on September 1, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of 47 years to Dianne (née Orr). Devoted father of Jennifer Schmidt (Joseph), Colleen Nast (Jeff), and Michele Sutter (Dennis). Loving Pop of Samantha (Cody), John, Austin and Great Grandpop of Easton. Cherished brother of the late Barbara Clark (late David) and the late Mary Davis (late Robert). Dear uncle of David, John, Barbara, Mary Kate, Robert, and the late Thomas. Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters in law, their families, and his great nieces and nephews. 

John was born, the youngest child of John and Mary (née Taylor) Topping. He grew up in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School Class of 1970. After high school, he married the love of his life and raised his family, first in Kensington, and then Levittown. He worked as a lineman for PECO until his retirement five years ago. He was loved by all of his coworkers. 

John will be remembered as a fun loving family man who had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to play pranks on his wife and kids. He enjoyed life and the simple things like sitting in his yard, listening to oldies, enjoying beers with his family, and trips to the casino. He will be remembered most for his devotion to his family, his genuine heart, and his beautiful kind blue eyes. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Saturday September 7, 2019 beginning at 8:45am in Queen of the Universe Church 2443 Trenton Rd. Levittown PA 19056. Funeral Mass 10am. Interment private.
