John E. Oberholtzer Jr. "Butch" or "Boo-man", age 32, passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2024. He is the beloved son of the late John E. Oberholtzer Sr. "Butch" and Gina Ross Oberholtzer and stepson of Mark Yacovetti, who lovingly raised him since the age of 3. Dear brother of Destiny Oberholtzer, Dionna Rios (Joseph), Mark Yacovetti Jr., and Darlynn Frisch. Loving uncle to Julian and also Matthew, who is due to arrive soon. Cherished grandson of Harry and Kathy Ross and the late Ed and Cass Oberholtzer. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and his significant other, Jaime.
Butch was known for his beautiful smile that could light up any room. He would do anything for anyone, especially his family, all of whom he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him but they take comfort that he will be reunited in heaven with those who have gone before him, especially his mother who was waiting with open arms for her "Baby Blue Eyes".
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Friday May 3, 2024 beginning at 9am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 E. Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 11am. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery. In honoring Butch’s kind heart, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to a charity of the donors choice or that those wishing would perform a random act of kindness or make someone smile.
