John Parker Kauffman "Johnny K", a Freeland resident, passed away Thursday December 31, 2020. He succumbed to a long illness of liver cancer. He grew up in Philadelphia and its suburbs of Dresher and Doylestown before relocating to the Pocono area. John was raised by his mother, Barbara Scheeler, along with his father Donald Kauffman and stepmother, Diana Caulfield, all of whom are deceased. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret H. Kauffman (nee Wilson). He is survived by his children: Lisa Kaczorowski (Joseph), and John Kauffman. John was grandpop to Edward (Brandi), Ciara, and John and great grandfather to Peyton and Christian. John is also survived by siblings : Donald Kauffman Jr. (Dawn), Barbara Wenino (John), Chris Kauffman (Sharon), and half-siblings Lois Raffel, Kurt Kauffman (Margaret), Kimberly Leatherman (Guy), Bill Kauffman and stepsibling Deborah Spier (Frank). John will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
John lived life wild and free. He was always the life of the party and really enjoyed cooking for others. John picked up guitar at an early age and became a self taught musical wonder, he was a true rockstar. John loved his children with his whole heart, they were always his proudest accomplishments. He was a doting Pop-Pop to three grandchildren and a great grandpop to two great grandchildren. He loved his siblings and was a close friend to many.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Saturday January 23, 2021 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral service 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any donations towards his final expenses.
