Joe was born and raised in the Kensington Section of Philadelphia. He attended St. Anne's grade School, and later North Catholic High School. Joe met Tracy McGuire in 1997, they have been together for the last 26 years, right up until his passing. They welcomed their only child, Christian in January of 2001.
Joe was always a hard worker. People would joke that when he was young that he had the biggest paper route in the neighborhood. He later went on to work for Neumann Medical Center, Northeastern Hospital, Shriner's Hospital for Children, and Temple Hospital. All of which he had many friends that he loved and admired.
Joe loved to watch the television show " The Walking Dead" over and over until he could recite the entire dialogue in every episode of every season, word for word. He liked to play some slot machines at Rivers Casino once in a while, and scratching off his scratch offs. He also loved to post inspirational messages to Facebook every morning to lift others spirits.
Joe was first diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in August of 2020. He fiercely battled this horrible disease for 3 years like a warrior. He was a fighter right up until the end, until he became too tired to fight anymore.
The Family would like to Thank everyone who helped Joe with rides back and forth to Fox Chase Cancer Center, everyone who did fundraising, everyone who sent him gifts to lift his spirits, an everyone who just reached out to send their prayers and well wishes.
"THE BEAST" as he was known by will be sadly missed by everyone whose life he touched.
In addition to Tracy and Christian, Joe is the beloved son of Elizabeth " Betty " Becker and the late Joseph A. Becker, Sr. Dear brother of Chrissy Becker and Thomas ( Katie ) Becker. He is also survived by one Niece and one nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
