Joseph Cini passed away on February 3, 2026 at the age of 74. He was born in Philadelphia on April 10, 1951 to the late Joseph and Mary (nee Malloy) Cini.
Joseph spent most of his life in the Fishtown and Kensington neighborhoods, places he was proud to call home. A true Philadelphian through and through, he was a devoted Eagles fan whose loyalty never wavered. He also loved the freedom of riding his motorcycle. Above all else, Joseph loved his family and cherished being a dad. He was especially proud of being a grandfather and held a deep love for his grandchildren. It was very important to Joe that his granddaughter Caitlynn knows that he is still watching over her and that he can’t wait to see her graduate.
Joseph is the beloved husband of Mia (nee Goldberg). Devoted father of Dorothy Cini, Kathy-Jo Cini, Amandalynn Cini-Chalmers (Ryan), Joseph Cini III, and the late Kevin Cini. Dear brother of Kathleen "Frizzy" Murphy, Timmy "BLT" Cini and the late Darlene Boone, Mary Storey, Toni Kurtz, Vinnie Cini, Eddie Cini, and Millie Cini. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Friday February 13, 2026 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Prayers and words of remembrance will begin at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any donations towards his final expenses in care of the funeral home.
