Joseph C. Hodge

Joe was born in  Philadelphia to the late Patrick and Stella Hill Hodge.  He passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He graduated from St. Anne School and went on to Graduate from North Catholic.  Joe was a proud US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam Era.  Among Joe's favorite things were trips to Disney, camping in Vermont, entertaining at the holidays and hosting block parties.  He was a long time employees of Gerschel Bros., store fixtures and display company.  he retired in 2010.  An avid Eagles fan, he enjoyed a Bud or Moosehead during the game.  

He was the beloved husband of the late Anne 'Nancy' ( nee Thraves ) Hodge, who unexpectedly passed away on August 22, 2020 . Dear father of Carol Watts. 

Loving grandfather of Christopher, Jr., the late Toney, Isaiah and great grandfather of  Christopher III, Domonic and Gianna.  Dear brother of William and the late Alice, Patrick, George, Charles and Ronald. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Joe will be laid to rest with Nancy, on September 19, 2020 in New Cathedral Cemetery, where  Military Honors will be rendered.   Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
