Joseph J. Jalicke Obituary

Joe was born in Philadelphia  to the late George and Margaret Smith Jalicke.  He passed away in Temple University from injuries sustained from an auto accident. He was educated at Holy Name of Jesus and St. Anne's Elementary Schools.  He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and attained the rank of SP4, where he saw one year stateside and one year overseas.  He had been employed for about 30 years as a mechanic for SEPTA.   

He is the beloved husband of the late Evelyn ( nee Capanna ).  Devoted father of Donald Litka ( Carlos ), Denise Arasim, Elaine Litka, Joseph Jalicke Jr., Erica Kane and the late David Litka. Grandpop to Rachel, Lucas, Brittany, Breanna, Brook, Brandy, David, Celeste, Emma, Dalton and Daniel. Great pop pop to AJ,  Jiovanni, Leif, Rowan and Ensley. Dear brother of Theresa McGinnis and the late Raymond, Jack,  Peggy Agostorala,  and Anna Yost.   Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 beginning at 8:45 AM in Nativity BVM Church 2535 East Allegheny Ave, Phila, PA., 19134.  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:45 AM precisely.  Interment with full military honors will follow at Washington  Crossing National Cemetery.
