Joseph "Joey" P. Boyle

Joseph P. Boyle "Joey" passed away suddenly on September 5, 2020 at the age of 38. He is the devoted dad of  Brigid and Meghan. Beloved son of Sharon and Tom Anderson and the late Thomas Boyle. Dear brother of Sheila (Mark), Cassandra (Joe), Sharon Anne (Chris), Tommy (Amanda), and the late Keith. Loving uncle of Savannah, Madison, Wes, Shyanne, Brian, Nick, Keith, Chris, Ava, Thomas, Remi Jo, the late Hope, and great uncle of Aubree and Baby Ray. Cherished godson of Catherine McBride. Sadly missed by his girlfriend Tania Eckert.

Joey was born and raised in the East Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia into an Irish Catholic family and was very proud of his Irish heritage. He attended Visitation BVM Church and school and there developed many lifelong friendships. Joey followed in his family's footsteps by working as a carpet installer. He loved simple things like Philadelphia sports teams (especially football and the Eagles), watching wrestling and candy. His greatest joy came from his family. He loved them and they loved him. Joey will be remembered for his kind heart, which he wore on his sleeve, and he will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation and funeral Friday, September 11, 2020 from 8:45-10:15am in St. Anne Church (lower) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia PA 19125. Funeral Mass 10:30am. Interment Magnolia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the Brigid and Meghan Boyle Education Fund c/o Citizen's Bank 2516 Welsh Rd. Philadelphia PA 19152
