Joseph “Joey” S. McCausland

Joseph S. McCausland “Joey” passed away peacefully on November 4, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband to his childhood sweetheart Sabrina Asch. Devoted Dad to Joseph “Jo Jo”. Loving son of Sean and Dorothy (nee Colgan). Dear brother of Courtney and Sean. Loving uncle to Sean and Nicholas. Loving grandson of Dorothy and the late John Colgan and the late Joseph and Eileen McCausland. Sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Joey was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Lincoln High School. During his high school career, he was a talented,record-breaking quarterback. Joey’s passion for football would continue through coaching the younger generation, especially his own son.

 After high school, Joey attended Del Val College. He then entered the workforce. He loved his job as a mason and was also a proud member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local Union 1. 

Joey loved his friends and family dearly. He was always the life of the party and loved to make others smile. He was hard working and was devoted to his son and his wife. Joey will be forever loved and missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation and funeral Saturday November 11, 2023 from 10am-12pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests and appreciates any donations towards his final expenses.
