Joseph “Joey” Robert Pote, was born in Fishtown, Philadelphia on May 7, 1991, and departed this earthly life on December 14, 2022.
Joey was the baby of seven. Affectionately known to his siblings as “Fathead”, he was a hustler in all aspects of life, could tell stories like a Bard, loved the Philadelphia Eagles, and was a die-hard WWE wrestling fan.
Joey is deeply missed by, his siblings, Angela Pote-Sarris (James W.) of Delaware County, James J. (Vicky) Pote of Feasterville-Trevose, Shaun (Melanie) Pote of Virginia, Victoria Pote of Philadelphia, as well as his brother-in-law, Mark Robinson of Philadelphia, his Uncles, Thomas, John (Nancy), Michael (Kim), and his Aunt Nannette, all of Philadelphia. Additionally, Joey is survived by fifteen nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
Joey was preceded in death by his Mother, Patricia Powell (nee Moran), his Father, James Pote, his brother Patrick Pote, his sister Nicole Pote, his nephew Robert Pote-Rodriguez, as well as many other family members who are now celebrating with him in heaven.
A memorial service will be held from 10:30am-12:00pm, on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at McElvarr Funeral Home, 1415 E Susquehanna Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19125 (Fishtown). Immediately following the service, there will be a Bagpipe led walking processional to Palmer Cemetery, 1410 E Palmer Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the internment of his ashes will take place.
