Joseph J. Schwab passed away suddenly on August 24, 2023 at the age of 27. He is the beloved son of Joseph A. Schwab (Angela) and Deborah Ferry (Mark). Loving brother and best friend to Rachel Schwab (Will) and Madelynn Schwab and stepbrother of Ryan and Nicolas Ferry. Dear uncle of Vivienne. Cherished grandson of Patricia and the late George Schmid, Mary and the late Francis Schwab, and Marjory Stone (Gary). Preceded in death by his stepfather Vincent Hornung. Sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joseph was a beautiful and sensitive soul who could light up any room he was in. He was silly, fun to be around, and had an infectious smile. Joey also loved to dance and made friends wherever he went. Joey was a free spirit who loved skateboarding and had a passion for playing his guitar and pouring his heart into writing songs. He also enjoyed cooking, watching basketball, adding to his impressive sneaker collection, and vacationing with his family. Joey had a special connection with animals, particularly his cat Wallace. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life Wednesday September 6, 2023 beginning at 9am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 12pm.
