Joe was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph L. Sr. and Elizabeth Kelly Wisniewski. He passed away in Suburban Community Hospital in Norristown after a lengthy illness.
Joe was a machinist by trade and worked for Mercury Tool Co. in New Jersey for 20 years, he retired at age 65. Joe was a homebody at heart. He enjoyed the holidays. His two favorites were Easter and Thanksgiving. He did the preparations for Easter and was always ready to do the blessing before the Thanksgiving meal.
Although he loved spending time with his family, Joe has a penchant for the ponies and enjoyed trips to Philadelphia Park. An avid Eagles fan, he would have been heartbroken by the turn of events this past weekend. Joe was a frequent visitor to the 5 and 1 Club.
He is the husband of the late Jean Rose Rosinski. Sadly missed by Betty Gerretz (Bill), Donna Schwartz and Sharon Triszczuk(Jack). Beloved Poppy Joe to his many grandchildren as well as being referred to Poppy Joe by many adults also. He was predeceased by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and remember Power House and Poppy Joe on Tuesday February 21, 2023 beginning at 10 AM and share words of remembrance at 11AM. in the McElvarr Funeral Home, 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Fishtown. Joe will be laid to rest with his beloved Jean.
