Josephine Clark was born in Wildwood, New Jersey to the late Harvey and Margaret Brown Reinert. She passed away peacefully at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. The family takes comfort in knowing she was reunited with her husband, who passed just six months before her.
She had lived in Wildwood, NJ, North Philadelphia, and finally settled in Fishtown to raise her family. She met her husband Jim while working at Zitners Candy Company and they were married one day after her 21st birthday. Josephine was a devoted mother and also a mother figure to other children in the neighborhood. She had an open door policy and all were welcomed to enjoy her cooking and company. She was affectionately known as “Mama Goose”.
Josephine always put her family and everyone first and enjoyed every minute of that. In her downtime she loved returning home to the shore to visit family. She also enjoyed trips to Golden Nugget for casino play and especially the buffet, and also visiting Walt Disney World with her husband. She will be missed tremendously by all those whose lives she touched.
She is the cherished wife of the late James O. "Jim". Devoted mother of James (Marlena) and John. She was also a mother figure to Michael Sauerman, 'Tish' Sauerman, and the late Jeffrey Seider. Dear sister of Harold Reinert (late Anna) and the late Evelyn Connelly (late Joe), Florence Fry (late Harry), and Emma Coleman. Survived by her nieces and nephews.
