Josephine F. Hebert

Josephine F. Hebert "Josie" passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at the age of 87. She is the devoted mother of Jill Hebert, Janet Currid (Bob), Tracy Pera (John), Lisa Dunbar (Joe), Leslie Hebert (Todd Charlton), Jennifer Hebert (Ryan Fischer), and the late Joseph P. Hebert. Loving Mom-Mom of Brooke Pera (Tom), Johnny Pera (Mona), Joseph Dunbar (Lauren), Kevin Pera, Ashley Pera, Audrey Currid, Megan Currid, Casey Dunbar, David Charlton, and Mom-Mom Josie to her great grandkids Thomas, Nicholas, Matthew, Alexander, Jaxon, Ella, Declan, and Lennon. Former spouse of the late Lester Hebert.

Josie was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia. She was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan High School for Girls and later settled in the Fishtown section of the city to raise her family. Josie loved her family deeply and especially loved being a grandmother and great grandmother, sharing a special relationship with "her boys". Josie enjoyed going to bingo and playing cards, even teaching her own children how to play pinochle. She also loved to sit on her step and chat with the neighbors, who all affectionately referred to her as "Mom-Mom Josie" just as her own family did. She will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Saturday January 25, 2025 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125, followed by her funeral service at 11:30am. Interment will take place at a later date.
