Karen Moreno

Karen Moreno passed away on February 11, 2021 at the age of 75. She is the beloved wife of the late Joseph. Devoted mother  of Lisa Moreno (Scott Cooper), Antonio Moreno, Sergio Moreno (Lisa), and Joseph "Pepe" Moreno. Loving Gram of Dwight, Sergio, Christina, Robert, Nina, Joseph, Michael, Grant, Tyler, Brandon, Brianna, Gina, Scotty, the late Crystal and Felicia, and also her great grandchildren. Sadly missed by her dear friend and caretaker Kim Lane. 
 

Karen emigrated to the United States from Austria Germany and arrived in New York City at the young age of 6. She settled with her family in Philadelphia and stayed there to raise her own family. Karen was a natural caregiver from taking care of her children to tending to her houseplants and garden,where she grew vegetables and beautiful flowers. She was an amazing cook and her family would tell you that she made soups that would "knock your socks off". In her spare time, Karen loved books and was an avid reader. Once she opened a book she would not put it down until it was finished. She also enjoyed going to flea markets. Karen will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. In honoring Karen's final wishes, there are no services planned at this time.
