Katherina Oplinger

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Katherina Oplinger, age 75, on Thursday, December 18th.  Born on July 25, 1950, in Hamburg, Germany.  Katherina’s greatest passion in life was her family.

She was a devoted spouse to her late husband, Ralph Oplinger, Sr.  She leaves behind her loving children: Ralph Oplinger, Jr., Carl Oplinger, Serina Ann Oplinger, Susanna Oplinger, and Frank H. Oplinger.  She was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Katherina’s kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor touched everyone she met.  Her love and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hubert McBride Funeral Home, 2357 E. Cumberland St, Philadelphia PA, 19125 on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Private interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
