Kathy was born and raised in Fishtown the daughter of the late James and Margaret Todd Kelly. In fact, she was born there at St Mary’s Hospital and she passed on in the very same building, now called Neumann Senior Housing. She graduated from Holy Name Grade School, then St. Michael’s Business School. Kathy worked at Y&Y Popcorn, York Plastics, Farmer's Choice, then later worked as a babysitter for her nephew Brian. Kathy’s children, grandchildren, and great-grand son Tyler meant the world to her. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing craft projects, spending time at the Poconos and going to Wildwood every September. But her most favorite thing to do was sit back and listen to the beautiful Irish sounds of Daniel O’Donnell. Kathy loved her lap top computer and connecting with family and friends on Facebook. She will be missed by many family and friends and especially by her beloved cat, Mocha.
She was the wife of the late Stephen McMonagle Jr. and the late Martin Hemphill. Beloved mother of James J. McMonagle, Francis McMonagle and the late Stephen McMonagle.
