Kathleen "Kate" E. Smith

Kathleen E. Smith "Katie" or "Aunt Katie" passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 75. She is the beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Smith (nee Farrell). Cherished life partner of the late Robert Coyle. Dear sister of the late Daniel Smith and Carolyn "Sissy" Sharamatew (Steven). Loving aunt of Daniel Smith, Timothy Smith, Matthew Smith, Kim Sharamatew, Steven Sharamatew, Danielle Morrin, and Christopher Sharamatew. Sadly missed by her great nieces and nephews. 

Kathleen spent most of her life in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. She worked as a waitress at the Aramingo Diner for over thirty years and made many friends in both her coworkers and customers. She loved to cook and bake, especially when it was for those she loved. Kathleen's favorite title was "Aunt Katie". She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and she cherished her time spent with them. Although she will be greatly missed, her family takes comfort that she is being reunited in heaven with those who have gone before her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Monday May 22, 2023 beginning at 9:30am in Nativity BVM Church 2535 E. Allegheny Avenue Philadelphia PA 19134. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am. Interment Magnolia Cemetery.
