Kathleen “Kathie” M. (Duffin) Costello

Kathleen “Kathie” M. Costello, 64, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Born on December 31, 1960, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Anna (Murphy) Duffin. On April 17, 1982, she married her beloved husband, Vincent “Vince” Costello, who survives at home after sharing 42 years of marriage together. 

Kathie was a 1978 graduate of Hallahan Catholic High School. She went on to earn her Associate Degree from Manor Jr. College. She worked as an administrative assistant for AON Insurance for 28 years until her retirement. 

In addition to her husband, Vince, she is survived by their son, Vincent Costello and his wife, Melissa, of Philadelphia, and two grandchildren, Reagan and Paige Costello, and her faithful canine companion, Sammy. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Duffin (Lisa) of Williamsburg, Virginia, and William Duffin (Nancy) of Tampa, Florida, and a sister, Mary Ann Bush of Philadelphia. 

Kathie enjoyed gardening and floral work. She loved to dance, specifically Irish dancing, teaching it for many years, and always looked forward to traveling and she was the family genealogist. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She leaves behind countless memories that her loved ones will cherish for years to come.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life on Friday June 6, 2025 beginning at 6pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 followed by her funeral service at 7:30pm. Interment will take place at a later date.
