Kevin J. Doherty

Kevin J. Doherty, of Port Richmond and formerly of East Falls, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, with his loving family by his side.

Kevin was a skilled mechanic and the proud owner of M&D Auto Solutions, which he built and operated with dedication for over 20 years. Known for his unmatched work ethic and deep passion for cars, Kevin took great pride in his craft and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need—whether it was a customer, a friend, or a stranger.

Family was at the heart of everything Kevin did. A devoted husband and a loving father, he was generous to a fault and always put others before himself. He never wanted anyone, especially his family, to go without. Holidays were especially meaningful to him, as they gave him the chance to gather everyone close and create lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, his loyalty, and his unwavering commitment to those he cared for. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, both in his work and at home.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife Sandra "Sandy" Doherty (nee Hillman). He is the devoted father of Kristen Doherty (Sal Giannone), John Devlin (Ashley), Stacey Przepioski (Joe), and Kelly Kober. Loving grandfather of Lilly, Gracie, Penny, Johnny, Branden, Arianna, Tristan, Savannah, Jocelyn, Zachary, and great grandfather of Alayna. Dear brother of Mary-Jo Donaldson (Jack), John Doherty, and Joseph "Pic" Doherty (Donna). Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. 

A life celebration is being planned by his family. They appreciate all the love and support during this heart breaking time.
