Kevin “Freddy” J. Davis

Kevin John Davis “Freddy”, 62 years of age, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 24, 2024 in Abington Hospital. Kevin was born on December 22, 1961, in Smyrna, TN, at the Air Force base hospital to Catherine Huetger Hisey (late Robert) and the late James Howard Davis. Kevin was a proud resident of Philadelphia and a 1981 graduate of North Catholic High School. Kevin was also honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after serving 5 years and 8 months and achieving the rank of Sergeant.

Kevin was a doting husband, excellent father and loving grandfather. He was truly a blessing to anyone who had the privilege to have known him. A kind heart and a smile that lit up every room he entered. A carefree man who loved his sports teams, the beach, and any time spent with family and friends. 

Kevin is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Robin Davis. He was a loving father to Austin Mertz (Victoria), Katie-Lynn Lindner (Seth), Kristyn (Josh), Kellie (Brennah), James (Angela), Jillian (Marcos), and Annette Noel. Kevin was a proud Pop to Addison Lindner, Austin and Izzabella Mertz, Joshua Rhoades Jr., soon to be Marcos Lorenzo III, and the late Erin-Lynn Noel. He is also survived by his mother Catherine Hisey, his sister Karen Davis, his uncle Gustav Huetger (Linda), his aunt Joan Walls, his cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Wednesday October 2, 2024 beginning at 9am in St. John Cantius Church 4415 Almond Street Philadelphia, PA 19137 followed by his funeral mass at 10:30am (Entrance to the church is on Thompson Street). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In honoring the beautiful and colorful life of Kevin, the family requests that those attending wear Eagles, Phillies, or North Catholic gear or bright Hawaiian Shirts.
