Kriste L. Sickel

Kriste L. Sickel passed away suddenly on March 21, 2024 at the age of 50. She was born on August 27, 1973 to Charles and Marianne (nee Adamski) Sickel.  Beloved wife of William Higginbottom. Devoted mother of Heather Higginbottom (Jose), Laurisa Higginbottom (Alex), and Kriste Lynn Higginbottom. Loving Mam-mom of Natalia. Dear sister of Jane Liston (Tom), Stacie Sickel, and the late Chuck Sickel Jr. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Kriste was a lifelong resident of the Kensington section of Philadelphia. She was well loved and had many friends because she was loyal and devoted to those in her life. Kriste was kind and caring and had a heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone who needed her. More than anything, Kriste loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a source of strength for her girls and was fiercely protective of them. Kriste will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Saturday March 30, 2024 beginning at 10am in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests and appreciates any donations to help alleviate funeral costs. Anything raised in addition will be donated to the Sarnelli House, an organization which provides clothing, food, and haircuts to those in need.
