Lath Uch Yang left us on her beautiful journey to heaven on August 23, 2019 at 65 years young.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia in the village of Kompong Sambuor, Samraong Knong, Lath had a modest upbringing. She was raised on her family’s farm where she spent most of her time with her father and grandfather. She quickly found a passion in carpentry and gardening watching and helping her grandfather. Lath eventually moved from Cambodia to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the mid-1980s. Along her journey, she was able to meet so many people and shared so many great memories that she treasured throughout her life.
Lath is survived by her three children, Serey Yang (Jackie), Sophea Yan (Rutha Peter) and Veacha Yang (Williams Ernesto), her nine grandchildren, Alexander Yan, Tianna Yang, Mckayla Yan (Zack), Gabrielle Yan, Reilley Yan, Charlize Yan, Mitchell Yan, Jazabella Yan and Liam Yan and her two great-grandchildren, Matheo and Zaya. Lath will be remembered for always being supportive and constantly offering help and love to those in need. It was in her nature to go out of the way to help others. She’s always had a warm heart and is known for her kind and sweet personality. For those of us that had the privilege to know and/or meet Lath Uch Yang, it can be agreed that she is one of the greatest women that lived on this Earth.
Lath has brought so much joy to so many and will sadly be missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended families, close relatives and close friends.
