Linda S. McGhee (nee Neary) passed away on April 10, 2020. She is the beloved wife of David Sr. Devoted mother of David Jr. (Christina) and Lisa. Loving Mom-Mom of David, Hailey, Farrah, and Addison. Cherished daughter of the late Margaret Neary. Dear sister of Tom "Butzer" Hall and the late Patricia "Trish" Benner. Sadly missed by her furbaby Max.

Linda was a lifelong, proud Fishtown resident. She was raised here and remained after getting married to raise her own family in the neighborhood she loved. She was a fun loving, social person who loved to sing and laugh. She had a gift for making the most mundane things like food shopping a really good time. She was a great friend and loved to spend time with her friends going to breakfast or lunch or just talking with them. If you were lucky to know her, you know she would do anything for those she loved. She was well known in the Fishtown Athletics Club as being one of the BEST soccer moms that ever were. If she was at a game, you knew it because she could be heard cheering passionately for all of the kids. She was a legend as a soccer mom and made the kids feel special. Linda loved her hometown Philly sports teams, and also the Minnesota Vikings, but her family will jokingly say that was only because she loved the color purple so much. She had so much love in her heart for her family. They were everything to her and she enjoyed nothing more than being with her husband, kids, and grandkids. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Due to the current health crisis surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, Linda's services are being announced for a later date. The family wishes to honor her life at a time that will be more safe for all those who knew and loved her to be in attendance. This website will be updated when service information is available.
