Lisa A. Middlemore, age 46, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 5, 2025. She is the beloved daughter of the late Anna Middlemore (nee Havrillo). Devoted fiancée of John Gensiak. Dear sister of Sherry Middlemore, Patrick Middlemore (Francesca), and the late David Middlemore. Loving aunt to Emily and Mason. Cherished niece of Cathy Kirn (Edward) and cousin of Christine Kirn and Jennifer Merritt. Sadly missed by her extended family, friends, and neighbors.
A devoted animal lover, especially of her cherished cats, Lisa had a gentle and caring spirit. She was a dedicated caregiver to her late mother and was always there for her family and friends, offering support, love, and loyalty without hesitation.
Lisa, a lifelong resident of Fishtown, stayed closely connected with those she cared about, always keeping up with everyone’s lives. Her kindness, warmth, and devotion will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Tuesday June 10, 2025 beginning at 9:30am in the McElvarr Funeral Home 1415-17 East Susquehanna Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19125. Funeral service 11am. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in honoring Lisa's love of animals, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the PSPCA at the address listed below.
