Lynn A. Gabor

Lynn Gabor, 62, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 3, 1958 and raised by Rita and Charles Tobin. Lynn is the devoted mother of Dana, mother in law of Tim Staab and  Nonna to Timmy. Cherished sister of Debbie. Loving aunt of  Leslie (Jimmy), Joey, Manny (Marta), Samantha and her great nephews LB and Liam, and great neice, Paisley. Sadly missed by extended family and friends. 

Lynn was born and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. She attended Holy Name of Jesus and St. Michael’s School of business and was a graduate of Temple University School of Nursing. 

Lynn embodied every role in her life with tremendous love: a mother, Nonna, sister, aunt, friend, nurse. She poured her heart into each title she upheld. Her proudest role was being a mother to Dana and later Timmy’s Nonna, and her other half. Lynn worked  tirelessly as a nurse in the Temple Network for 25+ years, she provided a beautiful life for herself and Dana. She was a natural caretaker, her role as a nurse was fulfilled by her tender approach, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her dedication to her career was eminent, as she worked up until her final days. 

When Lynn wasn’t working she was spending her days with the people who meant the world to her, her family. Her thoughtfulness came to no surprise — if she knew all your favorite things and would make sure you had 10 of them. Lynn loved to spend her summers sitting on the beaches of North Wildwood and sharing her favorite, Sam’s pizza and Curley fries with Dana and her Timmy’s. 

Lynn’s love for for dogs was one of her most admirable traits and her family finds comfort in knowing her Liza and Bella both were there to greet her on the rainbow bridge. 

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday November 6, 2021 at McElvarr Funeral Homes, 1415-17 E. Susquehanna Ave Philadelphia, PA 19125 from 9:30AM-11:00AM followed by her service. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, family prefers donations to the SPCA http://www.pspca.org/lynn-gabor
