Margaret Ovack Obituary
Margaret M. Ovack (nee Bognoski) passed away on November 2,2022, at the age of 83. She is the beloved wife of the late John P. Ovack. Devoted mother of Patrick Ovack (Michele), Margaret "Peggy" Kerns, Lisa Edeline, and the late Daniel Ovack. Loving Grandmom to Jeffrey, Christopher, Ryan, Jenna, Denise, Sean, Lucas, and great grandmother to Jacob Ryan, Noah Matthew, and Aubrey. Dear sister of Donna and the late Dolores and John “Huck”. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.
Lifelong resident of Fishtown, Margaret "Peggy" was born at home in 1938. She married John "Jack" Ovack at the family Parish Immaculate Conception in 1960. Together, they raised 4 children Patrick, Daniel, Margaret "Peggy", and Lisa.
In her early years, Peggy was a homemaker. Later she retired from the former York Plastic as a machine operator after 25 years. After retirement, Margaret earned her high school diploma from Lutheran Settlement House. She was so proud of this accomplishment as education was so important to her.
In her retirement years, she enjoyed her young grandchildren and was an enthusiastic fan at all their sporting events. She also enjoyed traveling with her family and siblings.
She was very proud of her Irish and Polish heritage. She loved the Mummers. Elvis held a special place in her heart.
Peggy enjoyed life, especially watching her family grow with strong family ties. She had a special unique relationship with everyone in her family and circle. Her memory will be cherished for generations
