Margaret C. Weinman "Peggy" (nee Potts) passed away on March 29, 2025 at the age of 62. She was born in Philadelphia on August 31, 1962 to the late Margaret Clair Potts and the late Thomas Potts.
Peggy was a lifelong resident of the East Kensington section of Philadelphia, in St. Anne's parish. She was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan High School, Class of 1980 and then after college, worked as a Retirement Planning Specialist. Peggy had an excellent work ethic and put in long hours to help her clients and also to provide a nice life for her family. On the weekends, Peggy selflessly gave her time to St. Anne PREP program, where she was an integral part of teaching the children of St. Anne parish about their Catholic faith. The children and their families adored Miss Peggy. In the last few years, Peggy was able to relocate to her happy place in Cape May Court House where she enjoyed her time gardening, binge watching her shows, and nights at Quizzo with her friends. She always welcomed family and friends to her home so that they could also enjoy time at the Jersey shore. More than anything, Peggy looked forward to her time spent time with her "pride and joy", her granddaughter "Bells" and to be able to help her daughter care for Bells while she spent long hours in school to be a first responder. Anyone who was blessed to come in contact with Peggy, fell in love with her. She was kind, and gentle, and without judgement, always giving of herself to make life better for those around her.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert "Bob" Weinman and her cherished sister Bridget Reilly. She is the devoted mother of Emily and loving Mom-Mom of Isabella "Bells". Dear sister of Thomas Potts (Ronaldo) and Catherine Burke (David) and aunt of Brooke Reilly, David Burke, Michael Burke, and Erin Burke. Sadly missed by many relatives, friends, and the parishioners and children of St. Anne parish.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Tuesday April 1, 2025 from 6-8pm in the Hubert M. McBride Funeral Home 2357 East Cumberland Street Philadelphia, PA 19125 and Wednesday April 2, 2025 from 9:45-10:45 am in St. Anne Church (upper) 2328 East Lehigh Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19125.
