Margaret “Peggy Ann” Nicholson Obituary

Margaret Ann Nicholson “Peggy Ann” passed away on July 22, 2020 at the age of 58. She is the beloved “other half” of Edward “Obie” O’Brien. Devoted mother of Nicholas Golden (Tiffany), and Ashley Golden (Brian Dever). Loving Gammie of Kaylee, Isabella, Kailee, Ellie, Ryan, and Logan. Cherished little sister of Joe Nicholson (Jan), Stephen Nicholson (Diane) , and the late Bill Nicholson (Jackie). Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Peggy Ann, the woman with a heart of gold. She was selfless, genuine, loving, and always the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing and entertaining, sun up to sun down beach days, Irish potato rolling, porch nights, cookie baking, and time well spent with family and friends.

She was the baby growing up, surrounded by three wonderful big brothers Joe, Bill, and Steve who always looked out for her. She was the proudest mom to Nicholas and Ashley, but her favorite role was being a “Gammie” to Kaylee, Isabella, Kailee, Ellie, Ryan, and Logan. Family meant everything to her, and she enjoyed it all with her other half, Obie.

Peggy left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether it was her many years bartending, working at Einstein, or her involvement with Division 87. The AOH was her second family and she was even named “Woman of the Year” by her fellow Hibernians.

Always there to offer a helping hand, Peg was known as someone you could count on. She was a tried and true friend. She was a person who you wanted in your corner. And she had so many people in hers, especially as she took on the biggest fight of her life. As feisty as she was, she battled bravely and unflinching as we all knew she would. A fiery spirit, Peggy Ann will forever be remembered in the hearts of many.
