Maria was born in Petrizzi, Cantanzaro, Calabria, Italy to the late Anthony and Teresa Celia Viscomi. She passed away peacefully at her home. The family emigrated from Italy in 1947, when Maria was 14. They entered the US at Ellis Island and the family immediately settled in South Philadelphia, where she lived till her death. She originally worked for them at the plant at 19th and Allegheny and moved with them to their location in Juniata. She retired after near 25 years of service. She is the devoted mother of Denise Mullin and Diana Ilisco. She is the loving and cherished Gram to her granddaughter, Melissa Mullin Gohn, by whom she will be sadly missed. She is the dear sister of Antoinetta Iezzi, Vincent Viscomi and John Viscomi.
